The Story of My First Story: How a Facebook Post Led to My First Publication

Hello everyone,

Today, I want to share a very special memory with you. Every journey has a beginning, and for me as a writer, this is where it all started.

This is my very first story, “খরগোশ ঘাস খাবে” (The Rabbit Will Eat Grass). I was just 4 years and 9 months old when it was published, but the story of how it got published is my favorite part!

It all started when I created the story by using the voice typing feature on my mother’s mobile phone. I had all these ideas in my head, but I couldn’t write or type that fast yet. My mother, who is an amazing author, loved the story and was proud, so she first posted it on her Facebook to share with her friends.

What happened next was a wonderful surprise. One of her friends, Zazafee, saw the Facebook post and thought the story was special. He believed in it so much that he took the time to send it to the Daily Ittefaq newspaper.

I couldn’t believe it when it was actually published in the famous “কচি-কাঁচার আসর” (Kochi-Kachar Ashor) section! I will never forget the feeling of seeing my name and my own story printed in a real national newspaper. It was the most exciting day!

This experience made me believe that my ideas were worth sharing and inspired me to keep writing, which eventually led to me publishing my own book, “আরিয়েত্তির ছোট্ট ছোট্ট গল্পেরা”.

It also taught me something very important: sharing your work and having supportive friends is a magical thing. I am so thankful that my mother shared my story and that Zazafee believed in it enough to pass it along.

It always reminds me that every big dream starts with one small idea… and sometimes, a little help from a friend.

Thanks for letting me share this memory with you!
