Robotics: Engineering My Dreams

From Curious Builder to World Stage

My journey with robotics started with a simple curiosity—taking apart my father’s electronics to see how they worked. This passion for understanding circuits, sensors, and code quickly grew into my biggest adventure. I went from learning the basics at workshops with the Bangladesh Open Source Network (BDOSN) to representing my country on the world stage. At just eight years old, I competed in the 26th International Robot Olympiad (IRO) in Busan, South Korea, bringing home glory for Bangladesh. It was an honor to turn my passion into a national achievement.

Living the dream…

An Idea in Motion

The most rewarding feeling is seeing a robot I designed and built with my own hands finally come to life. The process is a puzzle of connecting wires, programming sensors, and writing code to make it move and think. This robot was a special project for the ‘Creative Category” at the IRO. After countless hours of trial and error, seeing it perform its tasks perfectly on the competition floor was a dream come true.

This journey has taught me that with persistence, any idea can be engineered into reality.

Trophy Trophy

Gold Medalist

I proudly won a Gold Medal in the ‘Creative Category’ (Junior Group) at the 26th International Robot Olympiad. It was an amazing feeling to see my creative design recognized as the best in the world.

Silver Medalist

In addition to the gold, I also secured a Silver Medal in the ‘Physical Computing’ (Junior Group) category, competing solo against teams that often had multiple members.

Representing Bangladesh

After being selected through the 7th Bangladesh Robot Olympiad and attending 21 high-performance training sessions, it was an incredible honor to be part of the 10-member national team for Bangladesh.

The Future is a Puzzle

For me, robotics is about solving puzzles to help people. My dream is to create robots that make life easier, especially for children, and to continue making my country proud.
